Connecting the dots

I was quite surprised today to find that I really do think about and approach things from a very different perspective than do other people. I start by getting clear about my objective. What do I want, what are the results that will bring me. How will I know when I have achieved that? Then I start looking at what I am doing to see if it is getting me closer to what I want. If it is I do more of that if it isn't then I change and do something different.

I am always looking to connect the dots. Remember those dot to dot pictures you did when you were a kid? You had a page full of dots that had numbers by them and you started at dot 1 and drew a line to dot 2 and then to dot 3 and so on, until you had revealed a picture. Then I got so that I could just look at the dots and where they were placed and see what the picture was going to be. That ability to see what the picture will be when all of the dots are connected is what empowers you to choose a more accurate and faster path to your goal.

So how do you learn the skill of connecting the dots? By asking yourself when you start a task will this action directly and immediately bring me the results I am looking for? Let's say your objective is to create an income of $5000/month from your online business. You sit down to add pages to your site and ask your self, "Will adding these pages to my site directly bring in more money?" If you don't have anything for sale on your site then the answer will be NO! It doesn't matter how much traffic your site generates if you don't have any products for sale there more traffic can not create more sales. In that case you need to look at doing something else. If you have products for sale on your website then the answer will be yes. Go ahead and add those pages unless you know of something else you could do that would make a bigger difference.

I am grateful for my Mastermind group, my coach Sandi, that my recurring online business expenses are all now paid for by recurring online sales, that in spite of technical issues I was able to get on the Mastermind call and greate new ideas for teaching.

I acknowledge my self for explaining to Sandy how to import and manipulate pictures on her computer over the phone, thinking differently than others do, having the patience to teach kinesthetic learners over the phone, understanding how things work and staying focused on doing those things that lead to my goal.

Things that may affect my energy today are my Mastermind call, talking with my coach Sandi, meditation, writing and spinning.

You are Magical,
