Speed up your growth

Part of what keeps many of us from growing is knowing that the stressors in life grow with us. Because of this we often avoid growing and progress out of fear. When what we really need is to learn how to manage our stress. One thing that most psychologists agree on is that stress is our own reaction to what is going on around us. In other words, stress is a story that we tell ourselves or what we focus our attention on rather than being a set thing. For example, one person may find performing in front of a crowd very stressful, while someone else, an actor say, may find it to be exciting and something they look forward to.

So it looks like one of the fastest ways to grow is by learning how to handle previously stressful things without getting stressed. How is that done? Well I'm not entirely sure. I will give you a couple of methods that I use, but I'm still learning and working on this one. One of the things that I've found that helps is to delegate some tasks. The more focused you can be the less stressed you will be. Identify the tasks that you don't have to personally handle and start delegating the ones you dislike the most. Find ways to afford it. It pays for itself quickly.

Start meditating or set aside some quiet time for yourself every day. This allows you to create/find answers to your pressing problems. Learn to see problems as opportunities to grow and improve. The best way I know of to do this is to start changing your language and call them opportunities. When you learn to call them opportunities rather than problems you learn to look forward to them rather than wanting to run away from them.

I am grateful for a fun safe trip to New York City, wonderful meditation CDs, a check from Immunotec for $284.79, my friend Auggie who is now a general contractor and sleeping in my own very comfortable bed.

I acknowledge my self for calling the Pittsburg, CA police, sending Auggie the list of things to look at the apartment building, taking a riding lesson, getting unpacked and working on my online business.

Things that may affect my energy today are looking for a housekeeper, doing laundry, writing letters for my autoresponder, contacting Immunotec to get permission to use articles from the Focus and meditating.

YOU are magical,
Dianne
